The course offers a thorough understanding of the balance between art and commerce, the history and present-day trends of the entertainment industry, and tools for maximizing career opportunities in media.
CAREER PATHWAYS IN MEDIA
This course lays out various paths that students can use to establish their media careers. In the first half, students engage in an in-depth exploration of the history of the entertainment business, spanning film, radio, television, and digital and social media. In the second half, students learn about branding, pitching, networking, and current trends in the entertainment industry and how to maximize these resources in the pursuit of their professional aspirations.
